The Scope of CCM Study Program
The CCM course work consists of college level materials including; the CCM
Study guide, five text books, and cost estimating software. The heart of the
CCM qualification lies within the submitted course work – Modules 1-7.
Completing and submitting this coursework qualifies you to sit for the Written
Examination.
Distribution of the Course Work and Final Exam Grades
The submitted course work consists of 60% of your overall grade, and the written
exam is 40%, of the final grade for the course.
The Scope of the Written Examination
The comprehensive work in the CCM program takes place within the study question
exercises that are submitted for Modules 1-7. The purpose of the CCM written
examination is to highlight the general concepts learned during
the detailed study exercises.
Configuration of the Written Examination
The written exam consists of 50-multiple choice questions. The distribution
of the questions consists of 7 or 8 questions for each of the seven course modules.
These questions are designed to test the general concepts and ideas found within
the study materials. Two-hours are allotted for completion of the exam.
Studying for the CCM Exam
While completing the course work, you will have covered in detail all of the
materials from which the test questions are derived. The test questions are
based on selected chapters or sections of the text materials
and are not taken from every chapter or section. The exam does not
include, for example: specific calculations, formulas, analysis of quality charts,
or highly technical chemical formulations. In preparation for the exam
