Welcome to the Composites Research Journal, an official publication
of the American Composites Manufacturers Association. More than a decade
ago, the ACMA became the repository for technical presentations delivered
at annual conference gatherings. After the need to archive this information
became evident, the need to disseminate it as well as offer opportunities
to industry and academic professionals to publish also became readily
apparent. Thus, the inaugural issue of the electronic, quarterly, peer
reviewed Composites Research Journal launched in January of 2007.
The CRJ allows those interested in composites technology to
stay up-to-date on innovations in the industry and advancements in academic
research. Since there is a broad array of materials, processes, products
and markets in the industry, the primary goal of the CRJ is to
showcase a diversity of subject matter within the composites industry
as well as emphasize the practical application and commercial viability
of that research.
The editorial review board and the editorial staff welcome your input
and participation. The mission of propagating composites knowledge is
a worthwhile endeavor for academic and industry researchers. And for those in the industry, the movement of technology from research to practical applications
generates innovative new products that push the industry forward.
