Divisions, Alliances and CouncilsACMA's Committee Network – Connecting You, Your Business, and the IndustryThe purpose of an Association is to bring people together to accomplish something more effectively as a group than they can individually. This textbook definition describes the heart and soul of the American Composites Manufacturers Association – an organization that is led by the voice of its members. Representatives from ACMA's 1200 member companies identify the challenges they face every day in their businesses and mobilize through ACMA's Division, Alliances and Council Network to turn these challenges into opportunities. Members of the committees believe that that often, the real competition comes from outside the industry; they work with their colleagues to address issues to confront the industry's real competitors: those who manufacture with alternative materials.Industry professionals who know the issues, know the challenges, and know the importance of group collaboration lead each DAC within ACMA's Committee Network. The focus of each DAC is unique. Some are general interest and cover a wide range of topics that pertain to an industry segment. Other DAC's are very focused on Marketing, Safety, Regulatory Issues or Technology. Through the efforts of the various committees, the ACMA have been very successful expanding markets, disseminating technology, working with regulatory agencies and developing training programs for industry workers.
