What is "Centrifugal Casting?"

The UEF factors for CENTRIFUGAL CASTING (CC) are based on source test data from a CC operation that heats the molds by blowing hot air into the mold during cure. The UEF factors for CC should therefore only be applied to operations similar to this source; i.e., those that use hot air to internally heat the mold during cure.

If a CC operation employs manual or mechanical resin application, and open curing at ambient temperatures, then the UEF factors for manual or mechanical resin application should be used.

If a CC operation employs manual or mechanical resin application, and the molds are then closed during cure, then the UEF factors for covered cure should be used.
