What is Lobby Day?
Lobby Day, ACMA’s annual legislative fly-in event, gives members the opportunity to become involved in the political process. Members from all over the country sit down face-to-face with their Members of Congress and bring attention to important issues impacting the industry.
Why You Should Participate:
Make a difference to your company and industry by taking part in the 2010 Lobby Day Fly-In! This year, ACMA is hosting this event in conjunction with the National Association of Manufacturers, providing attendees even more access to Members of Congress. Plus, you’ll have the chance to network with over 300 manufacturers from other industries.
At last year’s Lobby Day, we made more than 40 visits, but because of the importance of many of the issues currently being addressed such as gaining a scientifically valid assessment of styrene health risks, access to capital and healthcare, it is more important than ever that we get active industry participation. The composites industry needs to make its voice heard.
Note: This year, there will be a fundraiser hosted for a member of Congress important to our industry. ACMA will provide more information on this event to all registrants.
Setting Up Visits:
Once your registration is received, you will be contacted by ACMA about your visits to members of Congress. Be sure to provide your cell phone number on the registration form so we can contact you during the day if needed!
