CAMX STEERING COMMITEE

Description: Provides strategic direction and oversight for CAMX, the ACMA and SAMPE co-produced annual trade show and convention. Works to ensure that CAMX is the one source for connecting and advancing all aspects of the world's Composites and Advanced Materials communities: R&D, engineering, manufacturing, service providers and end-users. Regardless of the application - transportation, aerospace, marine, wind energy, software, construction and infrastructure, medical, academics, sports and leisure - CAMX is America's go-to event for products, solutions, networking, and advanced indistry thinking for all market segments. The event provides an expert technical conference program, a marketplace for business opportunities, product displays and demonstrations, and access to professionals within the composites, advanced materials and end user markets. Develops and implements overall event format through identification of general session and specialized speakers, evaluation and deliver of educational needs and assessment of exhibitors and attendees.

Types of People: Business development, strategy, sales and marketing

Commitment: Three year term; approximately 1-2 in-person meetings per year and monthly conference calls.

CAMX ACMA EDUCATION SESSION SUBCOMMITTEE

Description: Develops the ACMA education session programming at CAMX that ensures a balanced and comprehensive overview of the industry's most up-to-date and innovative ideas. Includes sessions on: Business, Cast Polymer, Design & Engineering, Green Composites, Manufacturing, Market Applications, Materials, Pultrusion and Regulatory & Legislative. Reviews submissions and encourages submissions on topics. Works with selected presenters on their presentations to ensure content delivers on session goals. Moderates sessions at CAMX.

Types of People: Technical expertise, business development and management, strategy, sales and marketing, manufacturing

Commitment: One year term. One in-person meeting. Approximately 6-8 conference calls per year. Approximately 3-4 hours spent reviewing and rating abstract submissions, and 2-3 hours working with speakers on developing their presentations. Attendance at CAMX.

CAMX ACMA TECHNICAL PAPERS SUBCOMMITTEE

Description: Develops the ACMA technical papers programming at CAMX and ensures a balanced and comprehensive overview of the industry's best market and technical research. Includes technical papers on: Business, Cast Polymer, Design & Engineering, Green Composites, Manufacturing, Market Applications, Materials, Pultrusion and Regulatory & Legislative. Reviews and evaluates technical papers and provides feedback to authors at both the abstract and final paper phase. Identifies technical paper award winners for each track as well as best overall technical paper. Moderates technical paper sessions at CAMX.

Types of People: Technical expertise, manufacturing

Committment: One year term. One in-person meeting. Approximately 6-8 conference calls per year. Approximately 2-3 hours spent reviewing abstracts, 2-3 hours spent reviewing technical paper first drafts, and 2-3 hours spent reviewing final papers. Attendance at CAMX.
