International Cast Polymers Alliance Calls for Entries for Prestigious Pinnacle Awards October 14, 2008 (Arlington, Va.) - The International Cast Polymer Alliance (ICPA) of the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) announced this year’s call for entries in the 19th Annual Pinnacle Award competition. The prestigious competition, sponsored by ICPA and Reichhold, Inc., will be held at COMPOSITES+POLYCON ’09 in Tampa, Fla., January 15-17, 2009. The Pinnacle Award recognizes innovation and creativity in cast polymer design and application. Award categories include: Best of Show—People’s Choice; Sustainable Market Growth; Best Installation, and Most Creative Application. “With today’s challenging economy, companies need to do all they can to showcase their capabilities,” says Dirk De Vuyst, of International Marble Industries, Inc., who serves as President of ICPA. “Entering the Pinnacle Award competition provides additional exposure and recognition for cast polymer manufacturers and suppliers, many of whom already are embracing ICPA’s new MasterCast marketing initiative.” In addition to recognition at COMPOSITES+POLYCON, Pinnacle Award winners will receive a beautiful crystal sculpture to display and publicity from press releases to publications within the building and construction industry as well as individual press releases for each winner in local media markets. Winners also will be profiled in ICPA’s Cast Polymer Connection magazine and on the websites of ICPA and Reichhold, including Reichhold’s www.solidsurface.org website. All cast polymer manufacturers are invited to submit entries for any category. ICPA supplier members may submit entries only for the Most Creative Application category. Participants may submit only one entry per category. There is no fee to enter. This year, participants have the option to submit either actual cast polymer products or a true product sample measuring at least one square foot that captures the actual product color, texture and detail. Products and samples will be displayed at COMPOSITES+POLYCON. Those choosing to display only a product sample must also submit a photo of the actual finished product. For additional details and to complete an on-line entry form, please visit the COMPOSITES+POLYCON 2009 official show website at www.acmashow.org and follow the links to the Pinnacle Award competition. Entry forms must be received by November 21. # # #
