ACMA Launches New Certification Web Site

January 6, 2005 (Arlington, VA) – The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA), the world's largest trade association serving the composites industry, announced today that it has launched a new website - www.compositescertification.org.

The introduction of this site stresses the importance that ACMA places on education and training for the composites industry. ACMA Executive Director, Missy Henriksen CCT-A, commented, “ACMA is one of the few organizations that has developed such a comprehensive training curriculum for the composites industry. Each year, our composites certification programs grow in strength, stature, and size. Through this new website, our hope is that more companies will look to ACMA to fulfill their composites training needs.”

The new site provides users with a comprehensive overview of the seven composites certification programs offered by ACMA, including a completely redesigned certified professionals directory, as well as a section that allows users to download marketing information and allows current CCTs to download certification logos. The site also addresses certification fees, sample test questions, and the latest ACMA certification news, including press releases and news clippings. An “instructors’ only” web page has now been added, including a constantly updated exam schedule search engine.

"With this new website, our members can now easily access one, centralized, user-friendly resource to find the information they need about all of our composites certification programs," said Misti Murphey, CCT-A, Associate Director of Membership and Certification for ACMA. "It reinforces our mission to be the recognized source of education and information for the composites industry.”

ACMA’s composites certification program (CCT) was introduced in 1998 in response to the industry’s need for uniform training. To date, ACMA has certified over 1,600 industry professionals.
